Grand Prairie Volksmarch
06/05/2004

This 10K walk started across the street from the First United Methodist Church. Below is Carol and Lenore getting registered and a picture of the church.

The walk took us through the Plaza with a nice waterfall and along one of the main streets.

We passed a creek incased by cement walls, and chatted with Siba as she passed us.

There were lots of Mimosa Trees and I thought this one was particularly nice. I also liked the decorated stump.

We saw the colored roof of the Wax Museum off in the distance. Two Dallas Trekkers caught up with us as we were going down this hill.

The checkpoint was set up in the park. Leaving the checkpoint the trail led us uphill across the grass.

We looked back at the checkpoint below. Over the hill was this nice playground.

A nice home with a round room. Carol and Lenore at the finish table.
